Choosing Your Personal Brand

Posted by: Tim O'Brien

Personal branding is so exciting because it has completely leveled the playing field.

Not long-ago personal branding was thought to be the domain of only the rich and famous. Movies stars, professional athletes, and politicians. As the economy shifted away from manufacturing to service sector driven personal branding became as important to the financial advisor working on Main Street as it is to LeBron James, Tom Cruise or anyone running for president of the United States.

In this episode I cover the same process that the big companies such as Nike, Nutrisystem and car companies use to select the brand they want to promote of their pitch person and how you can (and should) use the same process to select your own personal brand.

Key Takeaways

•    How to leverage your personal brand to develop new business
•    Why personal branding starts with identifying your target market
•    Identifying the right building blocks that ensure a rock-solid foundation
•    The importance of featuring just one part of YOU
